ABSTRACT
The studies aversely interested in the factors that has led to the low performance of children as a result of the female parent’s career, as such provide necessary ways in handling the problems pointing out factors responsible to the child upbringing in respect to career pursuit. The research work therefore is a successful finding of the reasons as the effect of the upbringing of children. Looking at the implication and various major points through which the reality has curtailed the causes.

CHAPTER ONE
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The percentage of adult female that work for pay and the condition under which the work force varies from according to the structure, needs, customs and attitudes of the society in which they live.
In pre-history times women and men participated almost equally in hunting and gathering activities to obtain food. With the development of agricultural communities, women work revolves more around the home they prepared food, made clothing and care for the children while also helping to blow field, harvest crops and rear animals.
As cities developed some women traded goods in the market place. Some major changes are now occurring in the industrial nations including the steadily increase proportion of women in the labour force, decreasing family responsibilities (due to both smaller family size and technological innovation in the home) higher level of education for women and more middle and upper income women working for pay.
In African nations, the story is not different from any part of the world except for culture, tradition, religion and participation as the case may be in other nations of the world.
In Nigeria to be specific, the rate of women participation in the work force is at a speed increase as all effort are made from all angles of life to promote their girl child education such are motivation into women career pursuit.
In the 21st century, the expectative place on women dream and emancipation is at an increase as the aspiration is targeting toward the provision of a basic standard, so as it does not affect the upbringing of their children in the future.
Although in some part of Nigeria the involvement of women in some professional career in the field of engineering, law, medicine technology and many other profession as the reasons for limiting their participation, so many also, debates in the various journals written and published as regard to issue.
The case in Pankshin local government in Plateau state of Nigeria has received criticism from both the traditional, social and economic perspective.

1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Pankshin is one of the (17) local government of Plateau state created during the military era, it is one of the oldest local government which consist of the central zone and the senatorial headquarter of the central senatorial district. The people found settled are Ngas a tribe traced to Borno origin in the Chad basin who came to settled as a result of war and trade although the second world war took great effect on reasons why their settlement is traced back to the present base which is Pankshin, the people speak a language popularly known as the Ngas, there are numbers of schools found within the settlement which has attracted the attention of investors from other part of Nigeria e.g. the Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa who travel to and fro in search of daily bread. The major language of communication is English language which is Ngas. Among the institutions found ranging from primary, secondary are both government and private owned schools by individuals who are facilitation of education expect for two (2) tertiary institution which include a Federal College of Health and Technology.
Women involvement in labour force are mostly within the field of trade and education, very few in professional career and politics.
The women in Pankshin are generally known for their participation in petty trade from the rural villages, while some found in the teaching profession. The local government has record women involvement in politics as legal constituted authority with appointment as commissioners and most of the women either married outside Pankshin as daughters.
Most women are known for being domesticated and partly involve in working class profession.
In the traditional perspective the women is only believed to have been use for domestic work, farming and feeding of the children.
Emphasis was place of the children educational life the same is done in a case of birth of female baby.
The traditional society in Pankshin L.G.A gives less attention on the role of women participation in educational activities until the early 20th century the rate of participation of women in the labour work force shut up to about 65 against the 19th and 20th century findings.
Education becomes relevant such that other responsibilities that are supposed to be carried out by the women are not seen. The recent consideration and interference of clergy men and elite in the Ngas land was an effort which promotes the level of participation in the educational work force and since has assisted a million mile in setting a standard for a successful family life among the immediate community as it was not given attention in the forgone year.
1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The research is made in such a way that general problem that emanate and lead to unravel low exhibition of mother care should be given a new look.
The research statement of problem is on the implication of women career pursuit on child upbringing as the research heads toward finding deep in various social, political and economic activities, facing problems that lead to the negligence and discrimination of women in other social participation.
As the research work is intending to study the sociological, economic life of the female parent who is also known as the mother, let also intend to angle by find out the general aspiration of women in other society compare to the case study which is Federal College of Education Pankshin, the research has been on a thorough investigation to the reason why the women emancipation have exceed the normal standard such that the future of her child is at a pending drove way considering the just opportunity given to the women in contributing to the development of the society.
1.3 RESEARCH QUESTIONS
In undertaking this study, the researcher comes up with the following question as the research question
1. Is education a tool to nation building?
2. Do you think education has constituted a problem to gender equality in any way?
3. To what extend does education constitute a problem to gender equality?
4. Is it right for the women to abundant their children for career pursuit?
5. Will you advice women to pursue career than take care of their children?
6. To what extend does career women contributed to any positive change in nation building?
7. Have career women contributed to any positive change in nation building?
8. Does mothers absence from home because of negative effect on their children?
9. Can education make women to be self reliant?
10. A woman walking in an office cannot bring up her children properly?
11. Do you think female lecturers are coping well with their career pursuit and home?
12. Career pursuit and child upbringing should be a mother priority?
1.4 PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
The research becomes relevant such that the researchers have look at the major problems and preferable solutions as to why women career pursuit has affected child upbringing.
The study is an effort geared toward finding solutions in helping cubing the problems to have considerable adjustment as a way out of the seasonal and continual spread and low lessons in child upbringing.
The research is also up into providing necessary majors into deliberating over the problems in as much as the child potential right is been abuse and may likely affect the feature of the child afterward during and after birth. The research is in a speed in providing the basic information and suggests a lasting recommendation after and during the findings. It is possible to say that, the level of women attainment in the society workforce in Pankshin and her environment is a problem that can need a scholarly attention I other to adjust the parental attention in the successful findings while the child upbringing is undergoing a stress throughout the previous years and who could be responsible for the cause of the problem, therefore this research have suggest the following as the possible solution.
Therefore the researcher has considered the above as the major purpose of the findings in this voluminous work as a profound through ascertaining a ground for a live success.
1.5 RESEARCH ASSUMPTION
As the researcher works, he belief that if women are given more attention to take care of their children than career it will help them in child upbringing.
The researcher is not strictly against women career pursuit but, to put more attention to child upbringing.
When eventually long arm of the low caught up with the recalcitrant (will fully) disobedient young man for one of the heinous crimes he committed, he was prosecuted and sentenced to death. As he was about to be executed for the crime, he requested that might speak silently to his mother and his request was granted. As the mother move close to him, he picked the ear of his mother silently and tell her that she neglect her duty to train him up in a good way.
So, mother should have more interest in child upbringing than career pursuit, if such is done ills of the society or social vices will be reduced to the barest minimum.
1.6 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
The research is of immense benefit since it center directly on what has to do with the lives of people.
Women career is an important sector of the nation building and in facts it forms the backbone of nation building.
A research of this nature will help portray the position of female gender in relation to implication of women career on child upbringing. Be it positive or negative. It is to serve as a guide to the rectification of the problems or obstacles that inhibits the progress of proper child upbringing.
Also all these problems that hamper or brings about child abandonment or negligence shall be sought and fully addressed based on its findings.
Furthermore, the research shall provide and serve as a reference materials and document for future research on the same or similar issues.

1.7 LIMITATION OF THE STUDY
This research is limited to F.C.E Pankshin and her environment which consists of Bwarak Community and her host local government Pankshin.
The findings are towards a proved consideration and extensive pull over women participation as regard to their children and possible children that are under their care.
The research is limited to F.C.E Pankshin to enable the successful and possible analysis of the increasing participation of female parent and the state of the child in relation to their parent’s career.
1.8 DELIMITATION OF THE STUDY
This research work is to serve both home and away, within and afar, to all in order to successfully come out with result on related research.
Therefore, this research work accommodates all class of women, girls, and female, within and outside the geographical state of this research. It is the intention of the researcher at the research work should be able to serve the will coverage and therefore, it is not reflected to any tribe or gender in as much it is a problem solving findings. It is in this light that the research recommends that this research work should be properly studied in order to build on it in the future as regard the problem noted.
It is the wish of the researcher that whoever place hands on the work, who considerate it relevant and should be able to use it for a guide into further findings.
1.9 DEFINATION OF TERMS
According to English dictionary, the following terms are defined:
Implication: Indirect suggestion, something that involve as national consequences of something else or implicit understanding of the state of implying or being applied without being plainly expressed.
Career pursuit: It is define as a long term or lifelong job. Job or occupation is a long term or lifelong activity.
Child upbringing: A state of parental task of bringing up the child in order to be able to fit with the societal right or biological of parents over the children.
